Brighton Evolving Education Hub

Learning from the past, to live in the present and imagine the future.

A Waldorf-inspired activities provision for home-educated children aged 6 to 14, based in the heart of Brighton.

Beehub is an Ofsted-registered, activities-based provision offering part-time support to home-educating families in Brighton. We provide up to two and a half days per week of Waldorf-inspired learning activities for children aged 6 to 14 - a rich complement to the education families are already providing at home.

Our sessions are built around the Waldorf Main Lesson approach, where children immerse themselves in a single subject over several weeks - exploring topics through storytelling, discussion, art, and hands-on activity. Alongside this, we offer focused study support in Maths, English, and Science, as well as handwork, craft, and music sessions led by experienced teachers.

Beehub is not a school. We are part of a wider home-education journey, and we work alongside parents to support their children's learning with experiences that can be difficult to deliver at home - specialist teaching, creative workshop time, and a warm social community of peers.

Testimonials

Ruby Glazier
(student)

"I am so happy I moved to beehub. I learned more in a week with the Mason Bees than I learned in the last year at other home ed settings in Brighton"

Julie Clark
(mother)

"I just wanted to take a moment to say a heart felt thank you to all the teachers at beehub.

My daughter really enjoys her time with you, and as her mum I have seen her light of being grow stronger since being at beehub.

You're doing a wonderful job with the kids."

Sarah Preist
(mother)

"Removing my daughter from school was the best thing I have done. Before she started working with Ruth she lacked confidence in maths and did not enjoy it, but now finds that she loves it. She is aiming for Maths and Further Maths at A-level. Total turn around, all thanks to you!"

Our Community

Throughout the year we celebrate the seasons together through festivals, fayres, and community gatherings - from Michaelmas in autumn to maypole dancing in spring. These moments bring families together and give children a chance to share what they have been working on.

We are a small, close community. Our class sizes are between 10 to 18 children, ensuring that every child is known, supported, and given space to grow at their own pace.
